Sage

Sage’s clueless dog-like energy might get on the colony’s nerves sometimes, but they still love him just the way he is—proving that true acceptance means embracing every quirky, adorably oblivious moment.

Are you interested in adopting Sage?

Sage is like a puppy dog trapped in a cat’s body! He’s blissfully unaware of personal boundaries, insists on being the center of attention, and plays with an enthusiastic roughness. While his sweet nature is undeniable, Sage’s playful antics can sometimes be a bit too much for more gentle kitties. He doesn’t quite grasp his own strength and is still figuring out how to navigate the world around him. Sage’s excitement is contagious—he wiggles his little nubby tail and meows incessantly for attention and food. But be prepared, he’s a full-on mouth breather and struggles with frequent upper respiratory issues, which will require ongoing care.

What You Need to Know:

  • Brown Bobtail Simease Cat

  • 2-3 years old.

  • He is neutered and up to date on shots.

  • He’s about 90% accurate with his litter training. When we reopen the recovery room, he sometimes needs a little time to relearn how to use the litter box, but he always gets there eventually. Please be patient if he shows any regression—he just needs a bit of time to adjust, and he’ll be back on track.

  • Sage is energetic, playful, and loves to be the center of attention. He’s not always aware of his own strength, so he may need a home where his playfulness can be channeled appropriately.

  • Health: Sage struggles with frequent upper respiratory issues due to feline herpes virus, and his new family will need to provide regular care to keep him comfortable (notice his eyes in the photos). He is also having some digestive issues at this time and will keep potential owners updated.

If you're looking for a lively, affectionate companion who’s full of personality, Sage is ready to find a furever home where he can continue to learn and grow with a loving family!
